Preparation of raw silicone rubber
Raw silicone rubber is made up of high purity Dichlorosilane RR 'SiCI ₂ (R for Ph, Me; R 'for Me, Vi, Ph, CF ₃ CH ₂ CH ₂, etc.), by hydrolytic condensation, made from low polysiloxane (intermediate), including ringlike polydiorganosiloxane(RR'SiO) ₓ (x = 3-7) and linear hydroxyl sealing polydiorganosiloxane HO (RR'SiO) ₓH (x≥1), Used as raw material for raw silicone rubber main chain. Then ME₃SiCI or ViMe₂SiCI was hydrolyzed and condensed into Me₃SiOSiMe₃ or ViMe₂SiOSiMe₂Vi intermediate to be an end agent. According to the requirements of raw silicone rubber, one or several siloxane intermediates and end agents were catalyzed by acid and base equilibrium polymerization or co-polymerization to produce the corresponding raw rubber. Finally, the catalyst is neutralized or decomposed to a stable raw silicone rubber.
