Silicone Rubber
Silicone rubber polymer molecules are a chain structure formed by Si-O (silicon - oxygen) bond. Si-O bond is 443.5KJ/MOL, which is much higher than C-C bond energy (335KJ/MOL). Cold resistance
Cold resistance: the temperature range of ordinary rubber is -20~30 degree, but silicone rubber still has good elasticity when in -60~-70 degrees. Some special formulas of silicone rubber can withstand lower temperatures, such as low temperature sealing ring.
Weather resistance
Weather resistance: Ordinary rubber degrades rapidly under ozone, while silicone rubber is not affected by ozone. And for a long time in ultraviolet and other climatic conditions, its physical properties are only slightly changed, such as outdoor use of sealing materials.
Electrical properties
Electrical properties: Silicone rubber has a very high resistivity and its resistance remains stable over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies. At the same time, silicone rubber has good resistance to high voltage corona discharge and arc discharge, such as high voltage insulator, TV high voltage cap, electrical parts etc.
Electrical conductivity
