How to Print Flocked Silicone Logos on T-Shirts and Sweatshirts

Looking for a soft, fuzzy logo effect on a T-shirt or sweatshirt? Flocking silicone printing can add a fiber-covered surface to selected garment graphics. The XG-10000A heat-curing system uses XG-10000A main silicone and XG-10000B auxiliary agent at a 1:1 ratio. It is intended for evaluation on compatible textile substrates.

For the product system, mixing ratio and core process requirements, see Flocking Silicone Ink for Textile Screen Printing.

Where Can Flocked Silicone Be Used on T-Shirts?

Typical design areas to evaluate include chest logos, sleeve graphics, lettering and selected decorative motifs. The flocked surface creates visual and tactile contrast against the surrounding fabric. Confirm fabric compatibility and the desired appearance with a printed sample.

Which Artwork Works Best?

Start with logos, bold lettering and clear graphic shapes. Small text, narrow lines and intricate gaps should be tested at the final artwork size. Inspect the completed flocked sample rather than judging only from the digital artwork.

XG-10000A Mixing Ratio and Print Sequence

Mix XG-10000A main silicone with XG-10000B auxiliary agent at 1:1. If the design includes ordinary silicone layers, print them first. The supplied process notes specify 2–3 total passes, with the final two passes using the flocking silicone mixture.

When Should Flock Be Applied?

The final flocking-silicone pass must not be dried or baked before flock application. Apply flock directly after printing while the silicone layer remains suitable for fiber attachment. The heat-curing stage follows flock application and must use supplier-approved settings.

Choosing the Base Color

The base silicone color can be coordinated with the flock color. Listed color pastes are XG-102 White, XG-501 Black, XG-302 Red, XG-203 Yellow and XG-408 Blue. Confirm pigment dosage and compatibility before production.

What Should Be Checked Before Bulk Printing?

Check graphic edges, flock coverage, color consistency and adhesion on the actual garment fabric. If washing or rubbing performance is required, test the finished sample against the customer's specification.
