Anti-Slip Silicone Stripes for Elastic Webbing

Webbing is used in many finished products, but the anti-slip requirement is not the same in every assembly. A lingerie shoulder strap may need controlled contact against another surface, while selected backpack strap or textile accessory components may use silicone to reduce unwanted movement at a fabric-to-fabric interface.

Anti Slip Silicone Ink For Textile Screen Printingincludes XG-15A for heat-curing grip stripes on suitable textile materials. The key is to identify the face of the band that actually needs the grip function.

Lingerie Shoulder Straps and Elastic Tapes

An elastic shoulder strap bends and stretches repeatedly. Silicone stripes may be placed on the relevant inner contact face where grip is part of the design. Printing should not automatically cover the entire width: a narrow stripe or spaced segments may be preferable depending on comfort, stretch and strap construction.

Because these tapes are sewn and tensioned in the finished item, testing should include the assembled strap. A continuous stripe can behave differently from separated silicone sections as the elastic stretches.

Backpack Straps and Other Webbing Components

Backpack and bag webbing comes in different constructions and can contact clothing, padding or another strap surface. Only surfaces that have a defined grip requirement should be printed. Assess whether silicone is appropriate for the contact interface, how the strap is loaded and whether rubbing or washing is part of normal use.

Stripe Printing Methods

The supplied process note describes one-pass silicone stripes using a stripe-dispensing machine after its parameters are set. Where screen printing is used, whether by machine or hand, the suggested mesh starting range is 60–80 mesh and normally one pass.

For narrow webbing, ensure repeatable registration and equal stripe width along the tape. Evaluate the pattern after the band returns from stretched to relaxed condition.

Heat-Curing and Quality Control

The XG-15A heat-curing route requires baking regardless of whether stripes were printed manually or by machine. Exact oven time and temperature were not supplied; obtain verified settings suitable for the webbing and silicone thickness.

Check adhesion, stretch recovery, hand feel, stripe uniformity and function in the final strap assembly. Avoid claims that a printed stripe prevents all slipping under every load.

Which Side of the Webbing Needs Silicone?

Determine whether the finished component slips against clothing, another textile layer or another defined surface. Place the silicone on that contact face, not automatically on the visible outer side of the strap.

FAQ: Are Lingerie and Backpack Straps Printed the Same Way?

Not always. Elasticity, width, exposure and contact surface differ. Both can use a stripe concept, but a final assembly trial is required for each design.
