Dipping Shoelace Silicone is a premium silicone material specially designed for coating shoelace tips (aglets) to provide durability, 3D structure, and a smooth hand feel. This material is ideal for sports shoes, casual sneakers, backpacks, and functional apparel, ensuring lace tips remain resistant to wear, moisture, and deformation.
The silicone can be formulated as heat-curing for tips that can withstand high temperatures, or self-curing for heat-sensitive lace tips, providing flexibility in production.

Process
Step 1: Base Coating
Materials: XG-20S-1 or XG-20Z-1 (use XG-20Z-1 for right-angle or sharp-tip aglets for more pronounced 3D effect)
Additive / Thinner Ratio: Additive 10:1, Thinner 1:1.2
Notes: Fully cover the lace tip, including recessed areas, to ensure proper adhesion.
Step 2: Color Coating
Materials: XG-20S-1 or XG-20Z-1
Formula: Additive XG-MB-1 10:1, Thinner 1:1.2, Pigment Paste 5%-10%
Print Layers: 2–3 depending on thickness and color saturation
Notes: Apply thin layers multiple times to reduce shrinkage and achieve uniform color.
Step 3: Top Coating / Finishing
Matte Finish: XG-866M-6 + XG-866B-2, Thinner ratio 1:2.5
Glossy Finish: XG-399-2 + XG-MB-1 10:1
Alternative: XG-20S-1 for flexibility adjustment or local finishing
Print Layers: 2–3 depending on desired surface effect
Step 4: Curing / Drying
Heat-Curing Silicone: Oven at 60°C for 30 minutes
Self-Curing Silicone: Room temperature 2–4 hours
Notes: Each lace tip must be fully cured to ensure adhesion, dimensional stability, and a smooth surface finish.
