Whats high density(HD) silicone ink?
HD silicone is filled with silica micro powder in low viscosity vinyl silicone oil, which greatly increases the strength, hardness and resilience of silicone rubber. Vinyl silicone and hydrogen-containing silicone (crossing linker), platinum catalyst, and the temperature of 100-150℃make the reaction occurs to form an elastomer. The application of HD silicone to screen printing, known in the industry as HD silicone ink, this high solid content silicone with pigment after screen printing layer by layer will make neatly shape, angular patterns to highlight garment. After curing, HD silicone ink has strong adhesion, soft hand feel, washable resistance, environmental protection and no harmful substances, it is increasingly applied into clothing printing.
How to use HD silicone ink screen print garments?
The application of HD silicone ink into screen printing,different fabric needs different printing material. For example, cotton and cotton blends could be directly printed with HD silicone ink, which has good adhesion,never wear, fall off, change color or dissolve after strong friction and repeated washing. After determining the fabric and selecting the printing material, HD silicone mixed with catalyst and thinner to screen print transparent layer, then HD silicone with catalyst,thinner,pigment to screen print color layer. For each screen printing, the silicone ink needs to be baked at a high temperature more than 100 degrees to dry, screen printing repeatedly. Finally,bake HD silicone ink to dry by baking equipment to complete screen printing.
What kind of fabric can be used silicone ink screen print?
n broad sense, all fabrics on the market can be screen printed with HD silicone ink, such as cotton, cotton blends, nylon, polyester, spandex, acrylic, super fiber, stretch fabrics, polyester, etc. However, for different fabrics, it is necessary to match different silicone inks, such as nylon and polyester, which generally require crossing liner for primer treatment, such as elastic fibers, it is necessary to use silicone inks with strong tensile strength after curing.
How to choose the right HD silicone ink suitable for your printing plant?
Most screen printing plants screen print by manual and machine, manual printing is flexible, usually need HD silicone to react quickly, slightly heated,unnecessary to repeatedly print multiple times to reach a certain thickness,recommend to adopt our hand printing HD silicone ink.
